IN ALMOST EVERY PICTURE

In Almost Every Picture is a series of books focusing in found amateur photographs with a sequenced narrative.

In Almost Every Picture #18

In the 1960s and 70s, the town of Baile Tusnad in Romania was famous for holidays and weekends enjoying the town’s hot springs and spas. The pictures tourists often took home would depict the German Sheperd dog of the local photographer George Nitescu. A unique star in almost every picture taken home from Baile Tusnad.

Hours after capturing the moment, pictures could be collected from the dog’s home; photographer Nitescu’s urban villa - a place where the tourists mingled with the locals.

The pictures in the book show changing faces, the past sights of a Romanian city in its prime, and one photogenic German Shepherd dog without a name.

In Almost Every Picture #17

Carlo and Luciana were a couple from the small Italian town of Vignola, in the province of Modena. The couple made a small handful of trips right after they were married. This is the beginning of their project, black and white images, many shot on the road. Yet it is not until later, past the blank pages symbolic of their working years, that we really get to know how Carlo and Luciana explored the world. Black and white becomes colour, we witness time passing. Together they create a curious contradiction; two halves each with their own different motive, making one whole.

COLOR, 15.5 X 20 CM, 180 PAGES, SOFTCOVER.
