In all arts, mistakes are a much more interesting starting point than perfection.
Whether planned or unplanned, mistakes force us to take a closer look – they catch our attention in a sea of bland excellence.
And don’t forget: even robots revolt occasionally.
In ‘EVEN ROBOTS MAKE MISDTAKES’, students were guided by Erik Kessels on how they can ‘hack’ and ‘crack’ the perfection of the robotic systems around us. They produced new works that criticise and reflect on the automated society we live in. The result is this manifest exhibition.
